Sample 1 手机时代的聚会
Unfolded in the elaborately painted cartoon is a thought-provoking scene: four youngsters are sitting together to have their feast, paying attention to their mobile phones, only to neglect each other and forget their intention to gather. Just as is put in the caption of this cartoon, it is typically a ―Dinner party in mobile era.‖
This picture is naturally associated with a wide-spreading phenomenon in contemporary society—too much addiction to the mobile phones. Not surprisingly, some of us watch movies or read novels by mobile phones sharing not even a second with their family members. Equally unsurprisingly, others surf the Internet by cell phones even during class-time. Indeed, each of us seems close to another under this circumstance, but we have to look at the side-effect of the technology: the high-tech electronic products also cut off the face-to-face communication.
Evidently, we should take a rational attitude towards this issue! The media should promote the awareness of healthy lifestyle among the public, especially the young. Meanwhile, social activities, either in communities or on campuses, should be launched so that people can get back to the real world.

Sample 2 快递服务质量问题
Unfolded in the elaborately painted cartoon is a thought-provoking scene: a van for express service is rushing forward, almost getting flying, only to leave business credit and quality of service behind. Just as is put in the caption of this cartoon, ―quantity‖ picks a quicker pace than ―quality‖.
This picture is naturally associated with a wide-spreading phenomenon in contemporary society – most businesses, be they grand or tiny, sacrifice quality for efficiency. Not surprisingly, some farms provide consumers with fast-grown fruits that got ripe within few weeks. Equally unsurprisingly, some training schools offer speed-up educational programs – promising to grasp a language within 20 days. Although efficiency is stressed in almost any walks of life, we have to look at the side effect of the trend: the over-pursuit of efficiency hampers the growth of quality of commodities or services.
Evidently, we should take a rational attitude towards this issue! Specifically, the media should promote the awareness of social responsibility among businesses, especially among those that affect the health of the general public. Meanwhile, harsh punishment, either from department concerned or association of a certain industry, should be carried out lest businesses go after easy buck at the cost of quality.

Sample 3 中国式剩宴
Exhibited in the cartoon is an ironic scenario that the waiter is pouring untouched dishes – fish, roasted duck, and pork – into the dustbin, which is a total waste of food. The cartoonist is reminding us that, anyone, be he rich or poor, should never waste.
Under the ridiculous appearance of the cartoon is a principle that we should be thrifty, otherwise we may run out of living resources if we keep squandering. Unfortunately, the cases against this principle are pervasive. It is not uncommon to see water leaking without being noticed, lamps being on in vacant rooms, and even piles of food abandoned in school canteens, which may pose some negative impacts on the economic, social, and personal wellbeing.
We are supposed to take actions to revive the habit of thrift, but how? Measures proposed by the public involve the penalties on lavish behaviors, and the rewards to practice of thrift. Actually, we should also be aware that thrift is a way we accumulate living resources, also a virtue in civilized society. We may be disgraced without it! With the restricting, encouraging and reminding from the above measures, we are definitely to construct a thrifty atmosphere around us.
