形容词和副词的比较级
1.形容词和副词的比较级的构成 1）规则变化 构成方法 单音节词和部分双音节词 一般在词尾加-er 原级 high tall short slow fine late big thin fat wet hot easy funny early beautiful interesting comfortable outgoing 比较级 higher taller shorter slower finer later bigger thinner fatter wetter hotter easier funnier earlier more beautiful more interesting more comfortable more outgoing 以字母e结尾的词，在词尾加-r 重读闭音节词词尾只有一个辅音字母时，先双写该辅音字母，再加-er \以辅音字母+y\结尾的双音节词，先把―y‖改为―i‖,在加-er 多音节单词和部分双音节单词

You know more about yourself than I (do). 动词相同时，通常用助动词代替后面的动He works much harder than me. 比修 较饰 级语 的 比较级可以不带修饰语，若表示程度或差异大小时，可以置于形容词级前置词有意为―稍微……‖, even意为―甚至‖。 Let’s go by plane. （1）―甲+be+形容词比较级+than+乙‖或―甲+实义动词+副词比较级+than+乙‖，意为―甲比乙......‖。 Tom is taller than Kate.
I got up earlier than my mother this morning.
(2) ―甲+be+the +形容词比较级+of the two+……‖意为―甲是两者中较……的‖。 Look at the two boys .My brother is the taller of the two.
(3) “比较级+and +比较级“或“more and more +原级”（多音节词或部分双音节词） 意为 ―越来越……‖。 He is getting taller and taller.
The flowers are more and more beautiful.
(4) ―the +比较级，the +比较级”意为―越……, 越……‖。 The more careful you are, the fewer mistakes you’ll make.
4.表示两者在某一方面相同时，用―as+形容词或副词原形+as”的句型。如: I think science is as important as math. Tom runs as fast as Jack.
表示一方在某一方面不及另一方面时，用―not as/so+形容词或副词原形+as‖的句型。 It is not as /so warm today as yesterday. He did not come as/so early as Wang Lin.
