了解才艺展示,并鼓励学生多培养些才艺。通过学习文章,了解文章大意,掌握文中的重点短语、句子。并通过小组调查、讨论、合作活动,让学生初步运用目标语言谈论同班同学的才艺。

This lesson is Unit 4 Section B 2a-2d , It's the deepening learning of first lesson. Through the reading \Show,\enable the students understand talent show, and encourage them to cultivate more talent. By learning this passage, grasp the focus of the text phrases、sentences. using the method of panel work、 discussions and cooperation activities, let students talk about their classmates using the language talent. 2) Analysis of the situation (学情分析)

上一单元我们接触了形容词、副词的比较级,学生们能用形容词、副词的比较级正确描述人或事物,这

样我们学习第四单元也算有了一定的语言基础。所以本课我涉及的问题比较简单,以注重基础、表面的东西为出发点,从而提高学生的阅读能力。

Before this class we have learned the advanced forms of adjectives and adverbs ,there is a small part of the students can use comparative and superlative correctly to describe a people or thing,so they have a good foundation to learn the reading text. So this lesson focus on the basic things, in order to improve students' reading ability. 3)Teaching aims (教学目标) A: Knowledge aims: (知识目标)

a. Enable the students to remember the following new words & phrases [fre?z]

magician,role,winner,prize,example,poor,seriously, be good at ,more and more, in common all kinds of,be up to, decide to ,play a role in,make up,come true

b: Get the Ss to be familiar with the most advanced forms of adjectives and adverbs; use this form to describe people or things special.

B: Emotional aims: (情感目标)

Get to know famous people or thing that around you .( 了解我们周围中有那些最出色的人或物。 4)Teaching focus and difficulties (教学重点和难点)

A: combine [k?m?ba?n] with 2c to cultivate the students' reading ability in practice B: Read the passage, get more information, improve the students' comprehensive [k?mpr??hens?v] reading ability.

C: Listening training, improve the comprehensive ability of listening and speaking Part 2 Teaching methods

Step 2 Self-study

1,Scanning :What three talent show are mentioned in the passage? How are these talent shows getting now?

(American Idol, America’s Got Talent, China’s Got Talent,)

2,Guessing: Look at the picture and title, can you guess what you are going to read? (Something about talent shows)

3,Careful reading: Read the passage carefully, finish 2c. Find the original sentences and clues to the questions. Please underline the key information. Step 3 Group work

1. Discuss and check the answers in 2c in a group, then show them . 2.Work in groups, make a conversation with your partner.

3. Listen to the passage carefully, underline all the superlatives in the passage and finish 2d. Eg: best singer,talented dancer,the most exciting magicians.funniest actor?

Eg: I think Cheng long is the most funniest actor in china, He always creates some new different kinds of movies. 3,language points

With the help of teacher, translate the whole passage sentence by sentence . (1) It’s always interesting to watch other people show their talents. 看别人表演他们的才艺总是有趣的。

辨析:watch sb. do sth与watch sb. doing sth 看某人做某事 (2) That’s up to you to decide. 那由你来决定 辨析:be up to 由…决定;胜任;达到

be up to sb是一个习惯用语,用来表示“由某人做出决定”,句子的主语通常为it ,有时也用this或that.

(3)When people watch the show, they usually play a role in deciding the winner. 人们看这样的节目时,通常承担着评判优胜的角色。

play a role 意为 “扮演某一角色;起到某种作用”后面接介词in ,表示“在某事或某个方面起到作用或承担角色”

Purpose: Self-study and team work can help the students to get the main idea of the passage while reading.(自主学习和小组学习能够帮助学生在阅读时得到主要的信息) Step 4 Let's do some exercises 1)translate

查讨论,就原文内容补全句子,回答问题等,使学生对本课语法基本掌握。在我今后的教学工作我将不断激发学生的学习兴趣并且鼓励他们用英语进行交流。

Through the complication of comparative [k?m?p?r?t?v] and superlative [su?p?:l?t?v] to make the students known who' is more talent. Doing some exercises can consolidate their knowledge and check them,and make them familiar with the grammar.
