1.我们曾在Unit3学过形容词比较级的构成及其用法,试着完成下面的练习: ①Whose’ hair is (long),Lily’s or Lucy’s?

②Peter is (funny)than any other boy in his class. 2.归纳总结: ①A比B更??:A +be+形容词比较级+than +B. ②A和B一样:(as??as)

③A是两者中更??的一个: ④越??越??:

(设计意图:通过对形容词或副词的比较级复习来展开最高级的学习。)

Step2. Lead in

T: I like to go to the movies on weekends. 1. Show a part of movie, then ask:

Do you like watching movies? Let’s go to the movie theater

Step3.New words 1. Learn the new words. 学习单词:拼读、记忆、听写

Theater n.剧场;电影院;戏院 comfortable adj.舒适的;充裕的 seat n.座位; screen n.屏幕;银幕 close v.关;合拢;不开放;停业 (设计意图:创设情境,由浅入深,新授生词及引入形容词最高级) Step4. Presentation 1. Discussion:

There are three movie theaters in Mary’s town. Town Cinema , Screen City , Movie World How does she choose a movie theater to go to? 2. Look at some pictures and learn:

① big screen----bigger screen----the biggest screen

② comfortable seat----more comfortable seat----the most comfortable seat ③ popular----more popular----the most popular

④ close to school----closer to school----the closest to school 3. Consolidation:

Tai’an Theatre is ____________(离??最近) Mount Tai. It’s__________(最大的影院) in the city. It has ______________ (最舒适的座位). It also has ___________(最短的等候时间). It has ___________(最好的音响).

(设计意图:用不同电影院的图片来进行对比,让学生直观的感知形容词和副词的最高级,并鼓励学生选择自己喜欢的电影院及阐述原因,为下一步的语言输入和交流做好铺垫,用填空形式巩固所学的最高级。)

Step5 Task 1a

1. Write the things in the box under “Important” or “Unimportant”. 完成1a discuss: Let students do 1a,like this:

1.完成听力时你发现了the biggest,the best,the most comfortable等,它们叫做形容词的___. 最高级形式的构成:

(1)单音节词和部分双音节词在原级后加-est构成,具体情况如下: ①单音节词及部分双音节词在词尾后加-est。great--greatest ②以e结尾的单词,在词尾后加-st nice--nicest fine--finest

③以辅音字母’y结尾的单词,把y变为i,再加-est。 happy--happiest heavy--heaviest ④重读闭音节单词末尾只有一个辅音字母的单词,双写最后的辅音字母,再加-est。 big--biggest

(2)绝大多数双音节和多音节形容词前面加most构成最高级。 popular--most popular (3)不规则变化: 少数形容词(和副词)的比较级及最高级变化不规则,我们要熟记。 (设计意图: 让学生在互动交流中强化所学目标语言,在提升他们运用综合语言能力的同时培养了他们团队合作的意识. 学生自己通过观察发现句子的特点,培养他们总结归纳的能力.) Step8Pair work

1. Let Ss read the model with a partner.

2. Use the information in the chart of 1b. Ask and answer with a partner. 3. Let some pairs ask and answer about the chart.

Step9. Summary 1. Words and phrases:

theater, comfortable, screen, close, choose, service, the biggest screen, the most popular, the closest to school, the most comfortable seat and so on. 2. Sentences:
