拓展: both可以和动词连用,也可与and构成并列连词。在使用时,要注意下列几点: (1) both与动词连用时,一般放在系动词be之后,或其他动词之前。如: His parents are both workers.他父母都是工人。 They both enjoy reading.他们俩都喜欢阅读。

(2) both可与and构成并列连词,连接两个性质相同并在句中作相同成分的并列结构。如: Both he and his elder brother are good at English。他和他哥哥都擅长英语。(连接两个主语) She can both dance and sing.她既会跳舞又会唱歌。(连接两个谓语动词) Mary is both kind and beautiful.玛丽既善良又美丽。(连接两个表语)
