Abstract: As to the solar array model provided by the RTDS/RSCAD, it has tested the I-V and P-V
¡¯
characteristics, and simulated in real-time connecting to external DC boost converter. Using a constant voltage tracking method, it takes the real-time output voltage of the solar array and a given value to compare and sends the error to the PI regulator to control the boost chopper converter duty cycle D, so as to realize the resistor value of the external equivalent circuit of solar array automatic optimization . When the resistor value reaches the equivalent resistance Req of solar array working at maximum power point (MPP) , Namely, it has achieved the purpose of maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control of the solar array, thus greatly improving the efficiency of solar energy utilization.
