一、Why sight words?
在孩子的阅读初阶 phonics, sight words 和简单的阅读素材扮演了重要的角色。尤其在英语教学过程中，孩子没有阅读能力，有很大原因是因为 sight words 的学习被忽略；英语老师不知如何教这些简单却又难教的字，老师与孩子常把学习重点放在教科书的基本单字，而没学好 sight words，在阅读时往往因为有太多看不懂的字 (sight words占了一般儿童阅读文字内容的百分之七十)，而无法真正进入阅读。 二、What are sight words?

挑选30~40学过的sights words 分成二组用flashcards 磁贴于黑板，分组竞赛，各组组员轮流上台，上台的小朋友挑一个 sight word 并大声念出，念对了便将 flashcard 拿下，看哪一组先拿完该组的卡片。 ? Spelling contest分组拼字比赛
? Concentration制作个人小卡二人一组做配对游戏 ? WORDO
Bingo 游戏的应用，孩子从老师给予的20个sight words中选取9个分别写在井字里，老师再逐字念10~12个，第一次连成一线（三个一线）的人要大声喊出”WORDO”，最后再看谁连成最多线

用flash cards 全班一起造句，若有个人小卡再做个别练习，并将造出的句子写于作业簿里

Sight-Word Flashcard说明
外框以五種顏色及1~5條細線表示五個level。 右下角提供與該字相關的其他sight word。
左下角的數字為該字 在文章中出現頻度的Sight Word依照詞次分為五種顏色：藍(人稱代名詞)、綠(形容詞)、紫(副詞、介係詞、連接詞)、紅(動詞)、黑(數字或顏色)。 排行，數字愈小表示 頻度愈高。
◎另附3张空白卡，让老师做为补充名词用。
