look,sight,view,glance,glimpse这组名词在一起比较的含义都与视觉有关。
一、look有两层含义：
? 一是对视觉器官的使用，即“朝……看”，比如：May I have a look at it please?请让我看一看好吗？
? 二是看的行为所产生的印象，用于人时指“神态”或“样子”，用于物时指“面貌” She looks so gorgeous.她看上去非常地

四、glance“一眼，看一眼”，粗略地匆匆看一眼，是强调主动的加以注意瞥了一眼，有时带有暗暗地看的含义，强调 动作过程，常常用cast a glance at（向看一眼）, give a glance（望一眼）, take a glance（匆匆一看，浏览）例如： ? The man gave me a glance。
