3). 辅音字母+y变-y为-i再加-es factory-factories, fly-flies, family-families, baby-babies 4). -o加-es tomato-tomatoes, hero-heroes

5). -f或-fe变-f或-fe为-v再加-es leaf-leaves, thief-thieves, shelf-shelves, knife-knives, life-lives, half-halves 6). 有些以-f或-fe结尾的名词复数只加-s, 读作 / s /。如: gulf - gulfs 海湾 chief - chiefs 首领 proof - proofs 证据 roof - roofs 屋顶

7). 有些以-y结尾的专有名词的复数直接加-s。如:

Uncountable nouns cannot be counted. This means they only have a singular form.
