Good morning class. What’s this in English? It’s my school summer uniform. What color is it? It’s red and green. What is my name? My name’s Zhao Ping. Is this your story magazine? This is my international police magazine for young children. Where’s your international news notebook? Do you have a learning skills notebook? Do you like learning English? I like teaching English. By the way, how much are these uniforms? How much money is this newspaper? It’s two yuan. Look at this photo. Then when is this nurse birthday? Do you want to go to a hospital? Can you wear this uniform to go to a hospital? What time do you go to school? What time do you go to the police station? My favorite subject is police work. Where are the policewoman and policeman from? They are from a dangerous

country. Where’s the TV Station? It’s at the corner. Why do you like money? I like money because money gives me happiness. I want to be an actor. What do you want to be? Do you want to be a shop assistant? Do you want to be a doctor? Do you want to be a reporter? Do you want to be a waiter? Do you want to be a bank clerk? Do you want to star in a movie? Look at the picture in 1a and match the words on the left with the people.

1b Listening and numbering

You will hear three conversations about people in the picture. Do you know what they do? Please listen and number the person being talked about. I will play the recording twice. The first time you only listen. Then listen again and number the people.

And also cut/ the sentence into thought groups, study all the predicates, circle all the linking words and underline all the expressions. That’s grammar study, indeed.
