The Combined Use of Task-based Teaching Method and Situational Method Through Higher Vocational English Class Teaching CHEN Xiangxiang
(English Department, Hubei Light Industry Technology Institute, Wuhan, Hubei 430070) AbstractThrough the study of characteristics and advantages of Task-based Teaching Method and Situational Method, this essay demonstrates the significance of making combined use of the two methods in Higher Vocational English class to build the teaching model that relies on situations and uses tasks as the carrier. Meanwhile, the essay has put forward some ideas for effective combined use of the two teaching methods.

近年来，随着我国高职教育理念变革为“以就业为导向，以学生为中心，以能力为本位”，高职院校课程的教学越来越重视学生实践能力的培养。高职英语教学目标不再仅仅是装备学生的语言知识了，还要培养学生运用英语在实际生活中进行交际的能力以及在未来工作中处理涉外业务的能力。为了更好地达成教学目标，在高职英语课堂教学中应用有效的教学方式是很重要的。
